Camel Treks

a4On our adventurous camel treks we’ll show you some of Wadi Rum’s best-kept secrets and least-visited sites as well as its top attractions the way they’ve been viewed for thousands of years: mounted on a ship of the desert. While our tours include Nabatean sites, narrow canyons, soaring jabaal, sand dunes and natural rock arches, we are also expert at getting you far from the crowds, where all you’ll hear is the silence of the desert. All of our tours begin around 8am or as soon as you arrive at the Wadi Rum Visitor’s Center. We’ll take you to our family house for tea, and if there’s time before departure we’ll show you to Shalala Spring, 20 minute hike away, or the Nabatean Temple at the foot of Jebel Rum, just a ten-minute walk from our house. Before leaving, we’ll also take a look at the map to discuss our routes, which, although well-designed are completely flexible according to your own tastes and desires.

INCLUDED: All tours besides our half-day tour include meals, plenty of water, tea, English-speaking guides and sleeping equipment for overnight trips. BRING: Torch, camera, warm clothing in winter, sleeping bag (optional), sunscreen and a good hat. NOTES: Outside of summer months, lunch stops typically last about 1 1/2 hours, but during the long days of summer months, our lunch hours are extended with a short siesta, the combination lasting a maximum of 2 1/2 hours. Since summer months receive more daylight hours, we are still   able to visit the all the attractions listed in your tour. On tours lasting more than one night, visitors can choose to spend one night in the open desert in addition to the night spent in our camp.
